Uganda Cranes striker Arnold Vula netted a hat-trick as his Beerschot VA moved to the top of the Belgian Challenger Pro League on Saturday.
RFC Liege had taken the lead through Gabonese forward Harrison Ondo-Eyi before Tunisian Anas Haj Mohamed restored parity for Beerschot in the 57th minute.
Vula was then on show when he gave his side the lead two minutes later in the 59th minute and added another in the 63rd minute to complete his brace.
He sealed his hat-trick in the 81st minute with teammate Dennis Gyamfi scoring the fifth goal for Beerschot VA in a dominant 5-1 victory.
The win takes Beerschot VA level on points with Dender, both on 18 points, though Dender currently have a superior goal difference.
Vula is in red-hot form. The striker now has seven goals this season across all competitions including club and country and is now joint top scorer in the Challenger Pro League alongside Abdelsamad Hachem of Virton.
It should be noted that Vula made a dream Uganda Cranes debut with the winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Libya last month at Hoima City Stadium.
