Munogera on target as Uganda Hippos overcomes Sudan to reach CECAFA U-20 semifinal

Second half substitute Amour Munogera scored the all important goal Uganda Hippos beat Sudan 1-0 in the Group B contest to reach the semifinals of the ongoing CECAFA U-20 championship at the Uhutu Stadium in Tanzania on Saturday.
Munogera who came on as a substitute in the second period for Genesis Ocen Odiya netted the all important goal for Uganda who prevailed to a narrow win.
The Hippps needed to maximize points to seal a place in last as well as keeping their dream for a place in the U-20 AFCON alive.
The first half was evenly balanced and ended goalless despite both sides pressing for an opener.
The goal finally came in the 71st minute when Vipers midfielder Munogera beat Sudan goalkeeprr Mustafa Mohamed to give the Hippos the lead. Uganda held on to a second group win, following the 4-1 thrashing in the first game.
