Kawempe Muslim Ladies XI against Jinja United

FUFA Women Super League reigning champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies kicked off their title defence with a commanding 3-0 win over newly promoted Jinja United at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The Valley Warriors scored twice inside the opening five minutes through Latifah Nakasi and Jovia Nakagolo to set the tone for the afternoon.
Second half substitute Belinda Nabawanuka completed the scoring in the 69th minute to seal all three points for coach Ayub Khalifa’s side.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies will next face She Maroons next Saturday at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, while Jinja United will battle She Corporate at Ssaza Ground in Iganga on the same day.
Meanwhile, matchday one will resume on Sunday with URA Ladies taking on Kampala Queens at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, Makerere University hosting Amus College at Nsibirwa Grounds, Lady Doves facing Uganda Martyrs in Masindi, Rines entertaining Tooro Queens at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, while She Corporate will take on St. Noa Girls at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
