Maroons FC returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 win over BUL FC at Luzira Prison Grounds on Wednesday.

Ivan Mayanja scored the all important goal for the Prison side as the league resumed after the break.

Mayanja capitalized on BUL’s defensive lapse to give the home side the lead in the 21st minute of the contest at Luzira.

The visitors came close to finding the leveller before the break but Isaac Wagoina’s effort was comfortably saved by Simon Tamale.

BUL continued to press for the equaliser in the second period but couldn’t breakdown Maroons’ resilient defence led by goalkeeper Simon Tamale who made a couple of saves.

Tamale was named Man of the match as Maroons maximized points.

Victory sees, Maroons move to ninth on 29 points, just one behind BUL FC and will next visit NEC FC at Lugogo on April 17. BUL travel to face URA FC at Hamz Stadium a day earlier.
