Gomba players celebrate their first leg win

The Buganda Kingdom Masaza Cup Organizing Committee has reminded Buddu County of their obligation to ensure adequate security for their highly anticipated clash against Gomba.
In a letter dated 18th September 2026 addressed to Buddu Team Manager, Omw. Kasujja John Robert, the committee stressed the need for strict security compliance.
The much-anticipated quarterfinal return leg encounter, MCOC 95 Buddu vs Gomba, is scheduled for Sunday, 20th September 2026 at the Kitovu Sports Arena. A copy of a letter from the Gomba leadership concerning the same fixture was attached.
In the letter signed by Nsanja Patrick, Secretary of the Masaza Cup Organizing Committee, two key directives were issued:
1. Buddu was reminded that the home team is fully responsible for the overall security of the match as stipulated in Article 16 of the competition rules.
2. Buddu was instructed to confirm in writing that all security arrangements for the game against Gomba have been completed by Friday, 19th September 2026 by 10:00 AM. The committee requested copies of clearance letters from the county security organs, including the DPC and the office of RDC.
The Buddu vs Gomba fixture is one of the biggest rivalries in the Masaza Cup, often attracting huge crowds and requiring heavy security deployment. Gomba won the first leg at Kabulasoke 3-0 and Buddu will need four unanswered goals in the return fixture if they are to make it to the semifinal.
