David GOMBEFUFA has awarded SC Villa three points following the abandoned Uganda Premier League encounter against Calvary FC.

According to FUFA, Calvary loses the match due to acts of hooliganism and misconduct by supporters and officials.

“Acts of hooliganism and misconduct by supporters and officials led to the abandonment of the match. The FUFA Disciplinary Panel ruled that Calvary FC forfeits the match and loses three points, with the result awarded to Sports Club Villa in accordance with the FUFA Competitions Rules. The club also faces a suspended deduction of three points and three goals should similar incidents occur again and has been strongly warned against future misconduct. The matter involving the club President and allegations raised by Calvary FC regarding match fixing and referee misconduct have been referred to the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee for investigation.”

Meanwhile, FUFA has received a formal complaint from Entebbe UPPC FC regarding an incident that occurred during their match against Kitara FC at Butema. The panel found Kitara FC guilty of breaching rule 26(10) of the FUFA competition rules and Article 15(17) of the FUFA ethics and disciplinary code for allowing a person without a valid FUFA bench permit to access the technical area during game time. Kitara has been fined Shs500000 payable within 14 days.
