Kenneth Kimera is willing to leave Uganda premier league champions Vipers in search for regular football, Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm.
Kimera has a year left on his employment contract at Vipers and has already informed the club hierarchy of his intention to leave with URA FC leading the race for his signature.
He rose to the UPL scene with Wakiso Giants in the 2023/24 season before moving to Vipers at the start of the 2024/25 season.
Kimera isn’t in Denis Lavagne’s plans for the upcoming season. It has already been a busy transfer window for the Venoms, who have added a number of new faces to their squad.
Joel Sserunjogi arrived from KCCA FC to shore up their midfield ranks, while goalkeeper Loyce Mbaba joined to add experience.
Farouk Miya and Cesar Manzoki also returned to the Kitende based side while Nicholas Mwere, Jacques Mangoba are the other new recruits.
Vipers have also waved goodbye to several players, with Taddeo Lwanga and Grant Mastiko completing permanent moves to AFC Leopards and Entebbe UPPC respectively.
Nicholas Wadada, Alfred Mudekereza, Livingstone Mulondo, have also left the Kitende based side and remain unattached. Frank Katongole has already joined BUL FC in search for regular football.
