    Four debutants as Lavagne names Vipers starting eleven against Garde Republicaine

    Denis Lavagne has named his maiden Vipers SC starting eleven at the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup with the contest against Djibouti’s Garde Republicaine.

    The Frenchman has named new signings Joel Sserunjogi, Farouk Miya, Nicholas Mwere and goalkeeper Loyce Mbaba in his first eleven.

    David GOMBEDenis Lavagne has named his maiden Vipers SC starting eleven at the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup with the contest against Djibouti’s Garde Republicaine.

    The four players will be making their debuts while Cesar Manzoki has been named among the subsitutes.

    Miya will be playing his first match for Vipers since his departure to Europe for greener pastures in 2016. The attacking midfielder returned to the club after a decade abroad.

    The starting eleven also has Ashiraf Mandela, Hillary Mukundane, Dasylva, Abdul Karim Watambala, Odili Chukwuma, Usama Arafat and Gusto Mulongo.

    Vipers under the stewardship of Frenchman Lavagne are seeking their maiden CECAFA Kagame Cup title this term.

    Villa (3), KCCA FC (2), Express FC and Police with one title each are the four Ugandan sides to have won the title.

    Rwanda’s APR and Kenya’s Gor Mahia are Vipers other opponents in Group A with the group winners sealing a semifinal slot.
