URA FC have agreed terms to sign former goal keeper Nafian Alionzi who is a free agent.
The Cranes custodian left the tax collectors three years ago after serving them for six consecutive years and his return confirms the adage that goes “East or West, home is best”.
The former Onduparaka man has been on the books of Ethiopian army side Mekelakeya FC whose contract renewal aspirations deemed futile.
Alionzi joins URA’s new recruits that include Marvin Nyanzi who joins from Express FC, Muhammed Kyeyune from Entebbe UPPC.
Also on the verge of joining URA FC is goalkeeper Hafiz Kassim and midfielder Mikidad Senyonga who will also be making a return to the tax collectors.
URA also rewarded players Godfrey Ssekibengo, Innocent Kisolo, and Denis Luzige Kisiriko with new employment contracts.
Rahmat Ssenfuka, Fred Amaku, Derrick Kakooza, Bruno Bunyaga and Joseph Ssemujju are among the players to leave the Jimmy Kintu Mwera coached side.
