Express FC head coach Morley Byekwaso is optimistic that his side can bounce back from defeat against BUL FC and prevail against his former paymasters KCCA FC under the lights of Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo on Thursday.
Byekwaso will be desperate for maximum points following a 1-0 defeat against BUL in the game where he became the sixth coach in Ugandan football history to coach all three VEK clubs – SC Villa, Express FC and KCCA FC.
He joined the historic list that consists of Asuman Lubowa, Sam Ssimbwa, Polly Ouma, David Otti and Moses Basena.
What Byekwaso Said
“We didn’t win the first game but we showed that we shall be a better team in future. We are hosting KCCA and it’s not going to be an easy game, they are one of the strongest teams in the league. We both lost our first games and the second game is going to be very difficult for each team and we hope we shall be the best.
“We need to do our best tactically in an intelligent way, we need to dominate in possession. If we use all the aspects of the game properly we shall be victorious.
“We are trying to build these young players and they are very good. If they keep on getting the chances, by the sixth game our team will be much stronger than it is now.”
The Red Eagles suffered a 1-0 to BUL on Match Day one , while KCCA lost their opener 2-0 to NEC FC. Byekwaso’s side will be without injured Moses Sseruyidde while Ibrahim Kasule is doubtful for KCCA FC.
