Uganda Premier League entrants Blacks Power have confirmed the signing of former Vipers defender Bashir Asiku on a two year contract.
Asiku joins the Lira based club from relegated side Calvary FC, a team he joined at the start of the previous campaign.
Asiku made only two appearances for Calvary which came in the opening half of the season.
He is expected to bolster the Blacks Power defender with his topflight experience having previously featured for Vipers, Wakiso Giants and Lugazi FC.
The Simon Peter Mugerwa coached side signed defenders Frank Kasumba, Rashid Okocha and Julius Ocen as earlier reported by this website.
Ocen, just like Asiku joins from Calvary while Okocha and Kasumba have been acquired as free agents from Jamus SC and Kitara FC respectively.
Blacks Power will kick off their 2026/27 season with a game against fellow new comers Ntugasaze FC on Saturday 29th August at Hoima City Stadium.
