It means everything to be recognised and to compete alongside fellow caddies who share the same passion.”

    UGC Chairman Paul Nuwagaba hailed the successful launch of the Caddies Tournament and shared how the addition enriches the traditional tournament now in its 8th year with Absa;

    “It’s important that we organise the whole system in which we play this game, and there are many facets including caddies who are very helpful but not just furniture on the course. We thank Absa for coming up quite strongy on this particular occasion as we continue growing the game and creating inclusive opportunities for all who are passionate about golf.”

    The action continues from Tuesday as over 250 participants inthe Gross Amateurs and Professionals begin their campaignsand build momentum toward Saturday’s highly anticipated Main Event. The week-long tournament, sponsored by Absa Bank Uganda with a total commitment of UGX. 185 million, promises to deliver more thrilling golf as Uganda’s finest talents compete across all categories.
