Forget the 20-minute walk-off—the real MVP of the AFCON final was Yehvann Diouf and his legendary “towel defense!”

In one of the most “African football” moments ever, Morocco’s ball boys and even their captain, Achraf Hakimi, spent the game trying to steal Mendy’s towel like it was a hidden treasure. Some fans think they were scared of “juju,” while others say they just wanted the ball to slip through Mendy’s hands in the rain. Diouf wasn’t having it, though.

He was out there tackling ball boys and getting into it with Saibari just to make sure Mendy could wipe his gloves.

After the match, he trolled everyone on Instagram by posing with his gold medal and the tattered towel. Total legend move!
