Vipers SC will be back under the lights at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende tomorrow as the Venoms host Kenyan side Nairobi United FC in an international friendly.

The match gives coach Denis Lavagne and his technical team another chance to test the squad ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season and CAF Champions League.

Vipers drew 14-time Mauritania Champions FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League with the first leg slated for between 4th to 6th September and the return leg to be played between 11th to 13th of the same month.

After weeks of pre-season training as well as their CECAFA Kagame Cup exit, Vipers will be looking to build chemistry, sharpen combinations, and give minutes to new signings and returning players.

New signings include Farouk Miya, Loyce Mbaba, Cesar Manzoki, Joel Sserunjogi, Nicholas Mwere and Jacques Mangoba.

Nairobi United FC is the home for Uganda Cranes left back Mustafa Kizza and will also use the game as key preparation. The Kenyan visitors are expected to bring a competitive edge and test Vipers’ defensive and attacking setups.
