Uganda Premier League table leaders Vipers SC will on Wednesday travel to Military Barracks Grounds, Bombo to face off with UPDF FC.

The champions are aiming for maximum point to re-open re-open a four-point gap at the top following Kitara’s narrow 1-0 win at Mbarara City on Tuesday, saw the Royals close the gap to one point.

UPDF are aiming to beat the drop this term and currently sit second from bottom with just 13 points, but only two points below safe places.

The army side is winless against Vipers in the past 17 premier league meetings. The Venoms have won 14 with three games ending in stalemates.

In form wingers Usama Arafat and Odili Chukwuma along with Yunus Sentamu who struck a winner at Mbarara City are expected to lift up the visitors attack in Bombo.

The hosts will have their hopes in new signing Ivan Bogere who scored on his debut against Kitara FC last week.

Elsewhere, KCCA FC will battle with rivals Express FC at Lugogo while Hussein Mbalangu’s URA FC will entertain Lugazi FC under the lights of Nakivubo.
