Vipers SC recorded their 14th win of the season with a late win over UPDF FC on Wednesday at the Bombo Barracks Military ground.
Arafat Usama Kiiza and Abdul Karim Watambala scored the two goals for the Ivan Jacky Minneart coached side.
Enrique Lubwama had restored parity for the army side with 10 minutes to regulation time.
Victory saw the Venoms extend their grid at the summit of the Uganda Premier League table and are now four points above second placed Kitara FC.
Vipers is now on 47 points that they have garnered in 20 games while Kitara are on 43 points.
UPDF succumbed to a 13th defeat of the season and remains in the drop zone with 13 points.
