Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has accused Wrexham of a “blanket bombing” approach after their bid for Callum O’Hare.

Red Dragons boss Phil Parkinson is eager to add an attacking midfielder before Tuesday night’s transfer deadline.

The bid for O’Hare is thought to be worth £6.5m, but Blades manager Wilder said he wants the 28-year-old to stay at Bramall Lane.

“He’s a good player so I’m not surprised there’s been interest,” he said.

“I wouldn’t want him to go, but I understand there’s a bid in and it’ll be dealt with by the certain people who deal with these (things).”

O’Hare, now in his third season with the Blades, has featured in each of Sheffield United’s five matches across all competitions.

He scored in his side’s draw with Cardiff City last time out and also netted in the Blades’ EFL Cup first round victory over Mansfield Town on 9 August.

The former Aston Villa, Carlisle United and Coventry City attacker still has two years left to run on his deal at Bramall Lane.
