    SC Volcanoes punish Kihihi Young Boys to secure crucial three points

    League leaders SC Volcanoes secured an important victory after defeating Kihihi Young Boys 1–0 in the FUFA Western Regional League match played at Kihihi High School Playground.

    The match, which had been scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM, started late at 4:25 PM. Despite the delay, both sides showed determination from the opening minutes.

    The Kanungu-based side Kihihi Young Boys began strongly, launching several attacking attempts within the first ten minutes as they searched for an early breakthrough. However, the visitors remained organized in defense. SC Volcanoes defender Johnson Turinawe also known as Bafana, shirt number 3 made several crucial blocks to deny the hosts. He was well supported by teammate Henry shirt number 2 whose defensive efforts disrupted Kihihi’s attacking movements and forced striker Rucyamuzi Julius shirt number 9 into multiple offside positions and risky goal shots on target.

    Rukyamuzi has been impressive this season, having already scored 13 goals across all competitions.
