SC Villa trustee Gerald Ssendaula says the UGX 3.02bn UNRA compensation has grown to UGX 4.5bn in 10 months and will be used to buy land for a future stadium.

Earlier this month, former SC Villa President Emmanuel Ben Misagga demanded a full financial and operational audit of the club’s recent history. Ssendaula is also asked to share all of the club’s inventory, accounts, and records of activities from Mandela’s entire term.

Misagga also requested for full account of the money received from the Uganda National Roads Authority (Unra) and to share detailed membership lists for both the club and the VMT since 2021.

“We received Ug.Shs 3 billion and 20 million as compensation from UNRA. This money was invested as a fixed deposit and has since accumulated to Ug.Shs 4.5 billion in two years at the rate of 34 percent per month. We plan to buy land for stadium construction, possibly along Entebbe-road. The whole process is now pending this busy electoral process in the country.”

Misagga had also accused Ssendaula of continuing to recognise Omar Mandela as the sitting president and doing official club business with him yet his tenure expired in November this year.

During the press briefing on Tuesday, Ssendaula revealed that they club is aware of the expiry of Mandela’s tenure in office and will hold elections next year in March.

“We are aware that the tenure of office for the Sports Club Villa executive expired in November 2025. November was start of the league and there will also political business in the country. We asked for a grace period of three months as a committee will be tasked to organize peaceful elections for the club” Said Ssendaula

SC Villa will play Calvary FC in their final of the year on Wednesday under the lights of FUFA Stadium in Kadiba.
