The Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) successfully convened its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at FUFA Hotel, Kisaasi in Kampala on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
The highlight of the assembly was the unanimous endorsement of Roberts Kiwanuka to continue as Chairman for another four-year tenure until 2029.
Delegates from across the country wholesomely endorsed Kiwanuka, lauding his leadership in growing youth football structures, grassroots competitions and talent identification over the past years.
Speaking after his re-election, Kiwanuka thanked the delegates for the trust vested in him and pledged to work with all stakeholders to rejuvenate youth football and strengthen talent development pathways across Uganda.
“I thank the delegates for the trust. We shall continue to work with FUFA, academies, schools and all stakeholders to ensure youth football is the foundation of Ugandan football,” Kiwanuka said.
Chairman Kiwanuka announced his new Executive Committee that will serve with him until 2029.

Other Executive Committee Members:Gad Batuse, Abbey Ssentongo Donaca, Mansour Kabugo, John Michael Erebu, Betty Mayanja Nagadya, Peter Sserumaga, Francis Omara, Violet Kalema and Fridah Mabeeri.
The AGM was also attended by FUFA representatives including Ronald Barente, who posed for a group photo with the newly elected UYFA Executive.
The assembly reviewed the association’s activities for the past year, financial reports, and laid strategies for the next four-year cycle focusing on grassroots leagues, coaching education, child safeguarding, and national youth competitions.
