NEC FC are set to complete the signing of Maroons FC forward Marvin Oshaba, Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm.

This website has established that Oshaba is close to signing a two-year employment contract with the Badru Kaddu-coached side.

Oshaba is a former Tooro United player, where he was named the Most Valuable Player during the 2020/21 FUFA Big League season.

He also featured for Police FC before joining seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC and later Maroons FC.

He joins other players who have left the Luzira-based side. These include Ivan Mayanja and Rogers Kiwanuka, who joined Police FC, while Apollo Kagogwe has moved to fellow league newcomers Ntugasaze FC.

NEC FC have had a perfect start to the 2026/27 league campaign, winning both of their opening games against KCCA FC (2-0) and Lugazi FC (3-1) last week.

Kaddu’s men will seek to continue their fine run when they visit Mbarara City on Friday at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge.
