Kyaggwe Ssaza team is set to appoint Lugazi FC head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa as their technical director for the forthcoming Masaza Cup, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Mugerwa last year served as Kyaggwe head coach guiding them to the semifinals of the competition before being eliminated by eventual winners Buweekula on penalties.
This website has established that Mugerwa will this year serve in the technical director role with Ronald Ssali working as the head coach.
The vastly experienced youth football coach Ssali will now be in charge of the team with Robert Ssekweyama and William Kyeswa working as his assistants.
Ssali is the current coach at Bukedea Comprehensive whom he led to the East African football title last year and has previously managed Bulemeezi in the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized competition and at Buweekula where he was the technical director in 2023.
Kyeswa will be returning to Kyagwe where he was head coach during the 2023 edition of the Masaza Cup.
Kyaggwe are seeking for their maiden Masaza Cup glory with their best ever performance coming in 2024 when they reached the final during David Mutono Katono’s reign losing 1-0 to Buddu.
