Kenya Premier League side Nairobi United are interested in signing defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Swift Sports understands.
Kizito is currently out of contract at KCCA FC and talks of a possible renewal have seemingly hit a dead end.
The versatile defender who can ably play in central defence and as a right back, joined KCCA in 2024 from SC Villa on a two year contract which recently ran down.
Kizito is in line to become the fifth Ugandan player at Nairobi United after Mustafa Kizza, Titus Ssematimba, Charles Waibi and Shafik Ssebyala.
Besides SC Villa and KCCA, Kizito had a stint in Egypt with Al Ittihad Alexandria before his return to Uganda in 2023.
Nairobi United will be aiming for the title challenge after finishing 4th in their topflight debut last season behind Kenya Police, AFC Leopards and the champions Gor Mahia.
