KCCA FC are in advanced talks to sign Uganda Cranes forward Denis Omedi, as per FUFA TV.

Omedi is among the four players who are reportedly on their way out of APR FC this week.

It should be noted that KCCA previously expressed their interest in signing Omedi two seasons ago before he moved to Rwanda in January 2025.

KCCA coach Brian Ssenyondo is keen to have Omedi in his squad as he embarks on reinforcing his squad for next season.

Ssenyondo was Omedi’s coach at Kitara FC and the duo played an integral part in the club’s success before parting ways.

The 2024 FIFA Puskas Award nominee has won two Rwanda Premier League titles, two Rwandan Cups and one Super Cup with the club.

Omedi hopes his next destination could reignite his form ahead of the 2027 AFCON tournament having seemingly fell in the Uganda Cranes pecking order since his move to Rwanda.

KCCA’s work is well cut out next season as they attempt to end their eight year trophy drought.

Omedi has previously played for Booma FC and Kitara FC as well as the Lango Province in the FUFA Drum.
