Ugandan goalkeeper Nicholas Sebwato has joined Rwanda Premier League side Amagaju FC from Mukura Victory Sport.
Sebwato has spent five years at Mukura Victory Sport where he also served as the team captain for the past two seasons.
The experienced shot stopper leaves with unforgettable memories having been voted the league’s best goalkeeper of the season in 2025 with 13 clean sheets.
Sebwato was a savior on numerous occasions and ironically scored two crucial goals for the club during the desperate moments in the 2023/24 season.
His new club Amagaju, survived relegation by a whisker last season having finished a place above the drop zone.
He is expected to add experience, leadership and elite goalkeeping into the team having put pen to paper on a one year contract.
Amagaju is also home to former Express, SC Villa and Vipers defender Shafik Bakaki who joined the club last season after his departure from Musanze FC.
Sebwato is a tried and tested goalkeeper who has previously played for KCCA FC, SC Villa, Onduparaka FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Sofapaka in Kenya and Tanzania’s Coastal Union.
