FUFA has finally decided on Kitara FC Vs Vipers SC game that was not played in the first round of the 2025/26 season on October 4th 2024 at Namboole.

The disciplinary panel has found Vipers guilty for failing to honour the fixture. According to FUFA, Vipers breached Article 16 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Vipers didn’t show up for gamd in protest of the now suspended new league format.

Vipers lose the game by forfeiture but will not be handed additional sanctions, including the docking of three points or three goals beyond those already applicable.

Before the decision, Vipers had already written to FUFA calling the federation and the UPL secretariat to reschedule the game.

Meanwhile, FUFA has cleared Kitara regarding the petition filed by KCCA FC.

KCCA FC petitioned that Kitara had fielded an ineligible player during their league meeting on 26th September 2025.

After reviewing the case, the panel ruled that Kitara did not field an ineligible player. It also noted that it would be unfair to punish a club for a technical error beyond its control.

As a result, the outcome of the match stands and the points earned on the pitch remain unchanged, a decision that brings relief to Kitara and closes the matter for both sides.

Following the decisions, Vipers stay top of the table with 36 points, Kitara FC second on 32 points with Entebbe UPPC and KCCA FC all on 30 points.
