South Sudan national team left back Rashid Okocha has joined new league entrants Blacks Power FC, Swift Sports understands.

Okocha returns to the Uganda Premier League after one season in South Sudan with Jamus FC.

Okocha last played in the Uganda Premier League with NEC FC during the 2024/25 season.

He is expected to add experience to the Blacks Power team that will be under the tutelage of coach Simon Peter Mugerwa.

The club appointed Mugerwa as a replacement of Michael Skillz Lukyamuzi who is ineligible to coach in the UPL without a CAF A Coaching License.

Okocha rose to prominence after joining Onduparaka FC from fellow West Nile side Nebbi Central in the 2017/18 season.

After six impressive seasons with Onduparaka, Okocha moved to NEC FC at the start of the 2023/24 season.

He switched allegiance from Uganda to South Sudan and made his debut for the latter during the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers against South Africa in September 2024.
