Uganda Cranes duo of Allan Okello and Denis Omedi have been summoned by Lango province head coach Obira Bob for their FUFA Drum quarterfinal return leg at home against Teso.

Okello and Omedi who feature for Tanzania’s giants Young Africans and APR of Rwanda respectively missed the goalless first leg contest in Soroti due to club engagements.

The squad also has SC Villa’s Reagan Mpande and KCCA FC duo of Saidi Mayanja and Joel Sserunjogi.

URA FC’s Moses Aliro and Entebbe UPPC starman Ambrose Kigozi are the other notable players in the squad.

Okello and company will aim for glory when they host Teso at UTC Playground in Lira on Sunday.

    Lango Squad

Lango are the reigning champions of the competition and are seeking to become the first team to retain the title.

Meanwhile, on Saturday 28th March, 2023 winners West Nile will host Bunyoro while Busoga will entertain the Acholi on the same day.

The province based annual tournament, themed on celebrating the nation’s ancestry, has so far attracted a number of sponsors like Rock Boom, MTN and Nile Special who were lured by the big fan numbers that grace the matches.

    Past winners
