2026 CECAFA U-20: Uganda Hippos To Face Sudan In Semifinals

The Uganda Hippos have learnt their opponents for the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers semifinals after the climax of the group stage.
Uganda finished top of Group B with six points while Sudan ended their group campaign in second place with three points.
Sudan, who had the best points tally among all the second-placed teams in the group stage, progressed to the semifinals, setting up another meeting with Uganda.
The other second-placed teams, Rwanda and Kenya in Group A and C, both finished with one point respectively and bowed out.
The semifinals will be played on Tuesday with Uganda facing Sudan, while Tanzania take on Burundi who topped Group C in what promises to be an explosive encounter.
The finalists will automatically qualify for the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027.
