Seven domestic players and Uganda Cranes officials have departed for Tunisia ahead of the AFCON 2027 qualifiers.
The Uganda Premier League players off to Tunisia are goalkeepers David Lukwago (SC Villa) and Hannington Ssebwalunyo (NEC), Gift Jonathan Odongo (Entebbe UPPC), Geofrey Lubanga Kene (SC Villa), Hillary Mukundane (Vipers), Richard Basangwa (NEC), Herbert Achayi (KCCA FC) and Frank Ssebufu (SC Villa).
They will be joined by foreign-based players in a training camp in Tunis.
Uganda will open its qualification campaign against Tunisia away at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi (Rades) on 24th September 2026 before facing Libya at the Hoima City Stadium five days later.
Paul Put’s men will then face Sebastien Desabre’s DR Congo in two international friendly matches, with the first game slated for 2nd October 2026 and the second on 5th October 2026.
