Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat have completed the signing of Allan Okello from Tanzanian champions Young Africans.
The development was confirmed by Micky Jnr on Saturday evening when he reported that the former Vipers attacker had sealed a deal to the Moroccan side.
Okello was also left out of Young Africans SC’s 2026/27 NBC Premier league opener against Namungo FC at Majaliwa Stadium in Ruangwa on Saturday.
Wydad Casablanca was the other Moroccan side interested in the Ugandan attacker this transfer window.
According to reports Wydad had tabled a $700,000 bid while Yanga’s asking price for Okello was $1million, a valuation believed to have been met by AS FAR.
On the day of Okello’s departure, Yanga has announced the return of Burkinabe midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki who will serve as the direct replacement for the Ugandan.
Okello helped Yanga retain the Tanzanian league title scoring 14 goals having joined them in the second round of the season. He returns to North Africa following his unsuccessful spell in Algeria with Paradou AC that saw him return to Uganda in 2023.
At AS FAR, he reunites with his former coach Pedro Goncalves whom he worked with last season at Yanga.
