Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have confirmed the departure of Liberian Winger Robin Hney.
The Liberian joined the Venoms on a three year employment contract at the start of the 2025/26 season.
He signed for the eight time Ugandan champions from Albanian side Apolonia Fier.
Hney is a graduate of Cece United Football Academy and also previously featured for Pepper FC and FC Fassell in Liberia.
He becomes the eighth player to leave Vipers this transfer window joining defenders Nicholas Wadada, Livingstone Mulondo, Grant Mastiko, goalkeepers Bashir Ssekagya and Alfred Mudekereza, midfielders Frank Katongole and Taddeo Lwanga.
Mudekereza, Wadada, Mulondo, Mastiko and Ssekagya had their employment contracts expire at the Kitende based side.
Katongole joined BUL FC while Lwanga is now an AFC Leopards player in Kenya. Mastiko has already found solace at Entebbe UPPC whereas Mulondo is set to join Lugazi FC.
The Venoms are preparing for busy 2026/27 season schedule that includes Continental football, UPL and Uganda Cup. In the CAF Champion League they will face Mauritania side FC Nouadhibou in the Preliminary round due in September.
