Former FIFA referee and CAF/FIFA instructor Catherine Constance Adipo, Gazelles, Husnah Kukundakwe, Precious Allan Assimwe and Hassan Alwi were rewarded by the organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars awards.
They were recognised for their astonishing performances during the month of July at the event held at Nanjing Hotel in Kampala.
The winners came from swimming, archery, basketball and Motorsport.
Adipo is who is a pioneer in Ugandan female refereeing was rewarded with the Special Recognition Award, the former FIFA badge referee in 1995, officiated at the 2000 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON).
She has also previously served as a CAF and FIFA refereeing instructor.
Uganda Women’s 3×3 team the Gazelles of Melissa Akullu, Jane Asinde,Jamila Nansikombi and Perus Nyamwenge clinched the basketball gong for July for their silver medal at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth games.
While in Scotland, they smiled to wins over Kenya, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica during the group stage. They overcame Tonga in the semifinal before losing to Australia in the final.

Paralympic swimmer Husnah Kukundakwe, who won the Swimming Award following her silver medal in the SB8 100m Breaststroke at the Commonwealth Games.
Uganda Paralympic Committee Secretary Irene Nabiseke who received the award on behalf of Kukundakwe thanked the organisers of the awards for recognising excellence.
The awards ceremony was attended by Real Stars Sports Agency CEO Isac Mukasa, Fortebet representative Resty Mbatidde, and officials from Jude Color Solutions. The winners receive cash prizes and accolades.
