Wakefield head coach Daryl Powell told BBC Radio Leeds:
“I’d say we were dominant, really. I thought we started great and I thought at 10-0 up, I thought we should have been maybe 16 or 20 points up. I thought we were that dominant, so I’m really, really pleased.
“Defensively we were excellent for pretty much all of the game with the ball. I thought we looked sharp and we executed pretty well.
“I just said to the boys, I felt like everybody in the team played hard. I’m not sure we’ve had that this year yet. Everybody played well on the same day, in the same game, I thought we were consistent in that area.”
Castleford Tigers head coach Ryan Carr told BBC Radio Leeds:
“Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Errors, penalties, possession, field position, just all against us and a lot of that was our own doing. I can’t say much more.
“I was always going to learn a lot this year about this group, about these players in this team, and I’m definitely learning.
“I’ve said many times before, we’re very fortunate rugby league people to do what we love doing for a living, so I’ll address it in my own way.
“When the adversity is there, you’ve got to be able to fight through it. You never really know who your fighters are until you get put into it.”
